Where and When is Nuegua?

The New Genetic Women Project or NUEGUA was inaugurated in August of 2110, or just prior to the Sixty-Minute War of 2111. It was a creation of Sean Landston, who at 62 was still considered the world's premier organic/neural interface designer. Historians argue that it was either his romance with the much younger Alathea Radford, the leading entomological engineer of EcoFem, or his expulsion from the Saganite society that led to his decision to redesign the human species along feminist lines. We, however, believe that is was his (then)  proposterous claim to have isolated and synthesized the gene for psi ability that tipped the balance in favour of the Nueguans.

Having been privy to much of the master plan of the Saganites, his expulsion could not have come at a more inopportune time for the most powerful scientific group on Earth. He was too public and popular a figure to assassinate, so he had to be ridiculed in silence. The Saganite strategy was a failure.

Landesten had planned ahead. The first Nueguan children were cloned in August of 2110, and were spirited away to the Christmas mines along the Gila River in Arizona, just south of the Coolidge Dam, and north of Hayden.
